Summary of Changes from Previous Version

07.12.2023 – Approved QUT Council. The revisions to the Academic integrity policy (approved UAB 20/11/2023) reflected the University’s educative and supportive approach to academic integrity. Breaches of a minor nature, to be known as poor academic practice, will be managed in an educative manner through the directives of the Academic integrity policy, and breaches alleged to constitute academic misconduct will be referred for management under the Management of student misconduct policy. The effect of this change was to to create a disconnect between how the University manages cases of alleged student academic misconduct and other forms of alleged student misconduct as outlined in the Code of Conduct – Student. This disconnect has been addressed in the revisions proposed to the Code of Conduct – Student.
