Summary of Changes from Previous Version

11.09.2023 - Approved University Academic Board. In accordance with the outcomes of the Academic Integrity Review (2021) and periodic review, the policy was extensively revised including changes to the following: roles and responsibilities, definitions of conduct that breaches academic integrity, classification of breaches, verified identity assessment and an emphasis on the University's educative approach.

Transition arrangements for revised Academic Integrity PolicyThe revised Academic Integrity Policy applies to all students enrolled in units that commence on or after 1 January 2024. Any cases arising from units that commenced before January 2024 will be dealt with under the previous relevant policy. This means that faculty academic misconduct committees may apply the previous version of the Academic Integrity Policy at their first meetings in 2024. Cases concerning the lodgement of fraudulent documentation in connection with units that commenced before January 2024 will be considered by the Student Misconduct Committee as major non-academic misconduct as per the previous versions of the Code of Conduct - Student and Management of Student Misconduct Policy
